In Astral War I spoke about "vril chi, prâna". Chi is a Chinese concept, so is qi. And in the Feng Shui of the east we hear about enabling the flow of qi. Here's my two cents on the subject.
Vril. Vril power. The quinta essentia. The elixir of life, the fountain of youth. Etc. etc.
This is part of my Astral War myth. And you need a subtle energy to fight this suble war. That energy is vril, od, chi, qi.
Now, we won't need to go out on a limb to get that energy. It may be "astral" (as in "astral light", a theosphical way of naming vril). But we don't have to go to the stars, or even Mars, to get it.
It's here. It's in you. It's in your apartment.

For this, getting your apartment in shape for vril energy happenings, there is a discipline called Feng Shui.
Feng shui... is, in short, about decorating and arranging your room to let the qi-chi-prâna-vril flow...
And based on my own limited experience, I'd say it works.

The best rules to follow are:
. Close the WC lid when not using it; close the door to the bathroom when not using it. This stops "bad vril" from entering your living space. There are more Feng Shui rules to follow. I use them selectively. Like, I'm not obsessing too much about Feng Shui rules regarding colors. I already have a sense of color as the artist I am.
. For pictures decorating your walls, go for round shapes; avoid pointy, sharp edges. The same goes for flowers decorating your apartment and possible garden: round, not pointed petals and leaves is the rule. No cacti...!
. Motifs for pictures and objets d'art in your apartment should be tranquil, natural and peaceful. Avoid themes of violence and dishamony. Now, some drama in art is needed for your entertainment but that can be reserved for books and CD:s etc. being stored in shelves. The iconic Feng Shui art shall be focused on the organic realm (and on round shapes, see above).
. Stuff cluttering up your apartment must be put away, either thrown away or stored in cupboard or cellar.
Example of the color rule that I disobey, and yet I prosper: the rule of having the bedspread in some tinge of blue. I have my spread in red. And I sleep soundly nevertheless.
So don't obsess too much about Feng Shui doctrine. The rules are rules of thumb, not Draconian laws.

In summation: after I started this Feng Shui regime in my apartment I've beginning to feel an increased, discreet rush of power. It helps if you already are "mindful" and all that.
The bottom line is: Feng Shui works. It gives you a constant feeling of: my room is tidy, well-disposed, and aesthetically pleasing -- and this subtly increases your personal power, increases your vril.
